Elon Musk giving ‘serious thought’ to creating new social media platform

Tesla Inc Chief Government Officer Elon Musk is supplying “really serious assumed” to creating a new social media platform, the billionaire explained in a tweet on Saturday.

Musk was responding to a Twitter user’s question on whether or not he would consider developing a social media platform consisting of an open source algorithm and a single that would prioritize free speech, and where propaganda was nominal.

Musk, a prolific consumer of Twitter himself, has been crucial of the social media system and its insurance policies of late. He has said the enterprise is undermining democracy by failing to adhere to totally free speech ideas.

His tweet arrives a working day right after he put out a Twitter poll inquiring people if they considered Twitter adheres to the basic principle of totally free speech, to which over 70% voted “no”.

“The penalties of this poll will be essential. Please vote cautiously,” he said on Friday.
